listening to glenn miller medley now Someone once told me that life was mundane in Singapore. it's true, you have no place else to go except orchard rd, or maybe neighbourhood malls, or to the really "cool" escape theme park, or -whatever-. but i love Singapore. now i hope this doesnt sound cheesy, but this is where i grew up, and i'm happy abt it. lotsa restrains, many rigid laws, but really, there are many other positive components that make up life here for me that outweigh all the negative ones. lemme list: my family, my house, my school(not much of it tho.), my church, church friends, my Band, my Band friends~~ my Crusade friends, my best friend FEL, n all la. haha. i mean it. hope it doesnt sound like i'm bragging, but it's like sorta my appreciation or something, for, in some way or anothermaking my life something worth living. hmmm. well it's not always that we remember appreciating pple whom we love. and i know this is a shabby way of doing it - typing on my blog, but i guess one day i will finally get the chance to really appreciate everyone around me. haha. sorry for this rather annoyingly shabby "essay" of appreciation. haha. ok. well now what i totally do not appreciate is reading some blogs of like sec sch "pai kias" trying to sound chim in their blogs, obviously lifting words from thesaurus.com and dictionary.com. uncalled for. really, simple english will do. ask me, how do i know? it's obvious, because of the wrong grammar. and actually i know their grammar aint that good. so when u guess the word you think they might use, you type it on thesaurus.com and tad-daH!! u see the exact same word they used. omg. like it fits in perfectly, the bad english. you know, those big words may sound grammatically correct, cos u don really know the word. but in actually fact, it really is wrong. i mean it. it's so so so funny to read these blogs. if they really wanna learn, that's fine. but it aint necessary to try to cough up seemingly "cheem" english just to make yourself sound good on the net, or to try to impress pple. you choose WRONG words, you dont get your point across when u use words that commoners have not heard of. haha. i've nothing else to say.. |
